Northwoods Double: A Cast-And-Blast Adventure in Wisconsin

After Labor Day, everything changes in Wisconsin’s north country. The nights get cooler, the leaves start to yellow, and the lakes and woods are…quiet. The bugs and tourists are all gone now. So for the outdoorsman, early fall is the very best time to be here.

To capitalize on these golden days of early fall, a photographer buddy and I road-tripped across the northern reaches of the state to fish with a muskie legend on his home waters and hunt the duck opener over a couple of secret honey holes.
